In addtition you will be sent an extensive, thoroughly researched training manual to prepare for coursework, then progress to the 3-day Theory and Practical Assessment. The intensive training programme is conducted by Debra, or an Aesthetic Beauty Consultant with no more than two students per tutorial and covers everything from creative design techniques to identifying skin tones and your health and safety obligations. Finally students are assessed for competence in providing a safe working environment, excellent client management skills and practical demonstration of high treatments standards.

In total 9 models are required for the purposes of the Foundation training course. 3 are required for the eyebrow technique, 3 for the eyeliner , and 3 for the lips. Assistance may be requested from the student to provide the models.

There are currently no offiical trade associations in the UK. However many practitioners are members of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals or The American Academy of Micropigmentation.
